Grant us Strength

16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should. Ephesians 6

Faith to move mountians.  I always say, if we had faith to move mountains then mountains would move…but we don’t.  Yet we see that our faith can extinguish the flaming arrows of Satan, the lies he whispers, the obstacles he lays in our paths. our slavation, our victory already won protects our head from harm.  We have assurance, no need to fear.  And the word , the word is our only weapon because in it the whole story is written, the play by play, from beginning to end…this is where our faith is strengthened, where we find encouragement, insights, peace and hope.  Be strong and pray to the Lord above, for he hears us and he strengthens us.  So not only in bad times, but in good, we must lift up prayers of rejoicing, prayers of petition for non believers, but also for believers, for when we lack strength in God, we are weak in humanity.
