Let My Words Be Few

on April 29, 2010

For right now, I’ll let my words be few and give you these verses to meditate on. When you are done taking them in think about this, where are your time, talent, treasure and trust spent?

Matthew 6:33

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

2 Corinthians 4:17,18  For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

Philippians 3:8  Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

1 John 2:15-17  Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world— the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

1 Timothy 6:17-19   As for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God,who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.

Jesus I am in so in love wit you, on this day Lord, at this moment I feel such a peace, not one the world would ever understand, but something so deep and so profound words cannot describe it.  Praise you precious Savior, oh how I adore and worship thee.  Father make us holy.  You have given us the strength Lord, but we must choose to use it.  Father give us the will, use our lives for your glory.  May the things of this world lose all value and greatness to us.  May our idols fall apart.  May any and everything getting in the way of us seeking first your kingdom and your glory be revealed to us.  Break our will, break our spirits, break our hearts and make us new.  Open our eyes dear God and shine a light so bright that it blinds us to our wants and reflects only upon your goodness and the intentions you have for us Lord. Father God may we each find our completeness, our fulfillment and our purpose in solely you.  Majesty, Adonai, Our High Priest and King may we follow your blessed and holy name to our earthly graves and beyond to your eternal kingdom where we will meet our Lord Jesus and witness firsthand the wounds he endured for us.  As we wait for this day Lord, may we live the best life for Christ that we know how and we encourage and bless others to grow in faith and wisdom of you each and every day until the last.  Prepare us Oh God, prepare our way.  Thank you Jesus.
Amen
